Moving Across the Ocean

Posted September 03, 2009 @ 12:07 PM, by Marc, in BWS 6 Comments icon

A Google Maps screenshot showing where Boston Web Studio is moving.

On the first day of my favorite month, October, I shall be settled in at, and enjoying the atmosphere of, Boston Web Studio’s new office. You see, BWS is being relocated to the charming little city of Beverly—“the garden city,” “the official birthplace of America’s Navy,” and “hey, that’s also a girl’s name.”

Getting there, however, will be a long and terrifying northward journey over a Bermuda Triangle-like section of the North Atlantic Ocean. This fearful trek will take place over an impossibly long five mile stretch of land after leaving the safety and comfort of the Salem location and, with great despair, I must prepare for the inevitable and unavoidable casualties that will occur during this long and arduous journey. I dare say that if I am not careful, I could lose three to four iced coffees and a few hundred calories along the way.

If you’re still reading this, then I must declare that you have a strong constitution! Most in your position would have quit this horrific saga long ago and retired to more comforting activities such as brewing a cup of tea or watching Koyaanisqatsi.

So, my dear reader, If you currently maintain a record of BWS’s postal address, be sure to update it, on or around October 1st, to the following:

Boston Web Studio
131R Dodge Street
Beverly, MA 01915
United States of America
Earth

All other contact information—phone number, email address, telepathic frequency, etc.—will remain unchanged.

With great anticipation and a deft smile, I look forward to writing more when this relocation is complete. If, however, the trials and tribulations of this northward journey are the end of me, know that my heart belonged to both my bride and Italian Spiderman, and that Internet Explorer 6 is where sinners go when they die.

  • Good luck with the new location and my condolences for the fact that you now have to drive to the Build Guild.

  • Sounds exciting! It’s not every day you get to make a trek of this magnitude and I wish BWS the best of luck in surviving this arduous endeavor.

  • @Paul: Thanks, sir. Yeah, the Build Guild will no longer be a walk around the corner.

    @Mark: Thank you.

@Chris: You win the comments contest because I’m sure that took some fancy copy-and-pasting.

@Kyle: I don’t get it. (Scurvy, that is. Get it? Lame)

@Kristen: Well well, I didn’t know about that. I blame Wikipedia if I am indeed wrong.
